Who are Janay Skin products for? 

Janay Skin is designed for individuals concerned with hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, texture, fine lines, and dullness. Our products are formulated with active, clinically backed ingredients and are best suited for users who are familiar with or comfortable introducing actives into their skincare routine. 

Are Janay Skin products safe for sensitive skin? 

Our products are formulated with high performance active ingredients and may not be suitable for all sensitive skin types. Individuals with sensitive or reactive skin should proceed with caution, perform a patch test prior to use, and introduce products slowly into their routine. Temporary tingling may occur; however, persistent irritation is a sign to discontinue use. If you have a known skin condition or compromised skin barrier, consult a licensed skincare professional before use. 

Can I use Janay Skin products with other active ingredients?

Some of our products contain exfoliating acids and should not be layered with other strong actives such as retinoids, additional exfoliants, or prescription treatments unless advised by a skincare professional. Always follow usage instructions carefully. 

How often should exfoliating products be used? 

Frequency depends on skin type and tolerance. Beginners should start using exfoliating products 2-3 times per week and increase gradually as the skin adjusts. Overuse may lead to irritation or compromised skin barrier. 

Is sunscreen required when using Janay Skin products? 

Yes. Daily use of a broad spectrum sunscreen is essential when using Janay Skin products, especially those containing exfoliating or resurfacing ingredients. Actives can increase skin sensitivity to the sun, and failure to use SPF may lead to irritation, hyperpigmentation, or reversal of results. For optimal outcomes and skin protection, sunscreen should be worn every morning and reapplied as needed. 

Are Janay Skin products medical grade or prescription strength? 

Our products are formulated with high quality, clinically researched ingredients. They are not prescription products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
